The Culinary Health Fund based in Las Vegas, Nevada, constitutes almost 60% of the membership of UNITE HERE HEALTH and represents an extremely important fund in its own right with substantial influence in its market. The Culinary Health Fund provides medical, dental, pharmacy, vision, and other benefits and healthcare services to over 125,000 members and their dependents. The Culinary Health Fund owns and operates one health center and two pharmacies with plans for an expansion of services.
Reporting to the President of Las Vegas who is accountable for the Culinary Health Fund and its health centers, the Vice President will be a key leader with management, operational, and administrative oversight for the Health Center(s). In close collaboration with the President and Board of Trustees, the Vice President will formulate strategies for the effective delivery of high-quality, affordable healthcare and exceptional patient services through the health center(s) to the Las Vegas membership. A visionary and progressive thinker, the Vice President will provide operational and administrative direction and expertise through evaluation and coordination of a comprehensive array of services and programs for healthcare delivery systems and operations to promote a valued-based approach to comprehensive, high-quality healthcare. The Vice President will serve as a mentor to staff, an advocate in the community, and a relationship-builder with physicians and providers, as well as other internal and external key stakeholders.
Successful candidates will have at least five years of progressive senior leadership and operating experience within the ambulatory setting, 10+ years of hospital/healthcare professional experience with a strong business acumen, and demonstrated success in developing and implementing a business plan to advance an organization’s strategic, operational, and financial targets. A track record of collaboration, engagement, cultivating strong internal and external relationships, as well as fostering a respectful culture of commitment to service excellence is critical. An advanced degree in business or healthcare administration is preferred.
