J OB SUMMARY:
P enn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a clinical nurse expert for the Clinical Practice Nurse Leader position to join our multi-disciplinary unit.
T he Clinical Practice Nurse Leader is responsible to function as a member of a multi- disciplinary, unit based team to provide nursing expertise for a defined microsystem. This RN clinical expert will collaborate in staff and patient education activities. The CPNL will lead patient care initiatives that are evidence based and patient-family centered. The CPNL will identify, interpret and spearhead the implementation of appropriate policies and procedures, clinical decision tools, data collection tools, national clinical care guidelines, literature and research to promote standard and evidence based practice.
This unit consists of 46 telemetry beds that offers our patients a comprehensive array of highly specialized medical and surgical services including: Trauma/Emergency General Surgery, Orthopedics (hip and knee joint reconstruction, hip preservation, fracture care, metabolic bone disease, gait abnormalities and arthritis), Hematology and Bariatrics. This is an ideal floor for nurses who are interested in promoting their professional growth as a nurse and love to work with these postoperative and medical patients.
M INIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
M aster's Degree in Nursing required
5 years of clinical experience required in the area of expertise
C urrently licensed to practice as an RN by PA Board of Nurse Examiners required
P REFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
A cademic Medical Center experience and knowledge of Magnet institutions
