Reporting to the entity CFO, this position is the key financial lead with responsibility to work cross-functionally with all shared services teams and all levels of financial and operational management to support the financial performance and execution of the overall mission, vision, and strategy of the assigned Penn State Health entity. This position is a key member of the senior leadership team for entity in which it supports as well as the shared services financial senior leadership team. Responsible for creating and maintaining sound financial policy and assisting in setting and executing performance targets and goals, as well as financial analysis, presentation, decisions, accountability, and business activities, including; identifying financial opportunities for improvement and recommending action needed for said improvement. Works closely with the senior leadership in the day-to-day financial operations of the supported entity and in assessing opportunities for changing practice sites and services, including Pro-Forma business statements and all other data reporting, as necessary. Works closely with executive committees to identify opportunities to improve financial operations of the assigned entity.
Bachelors degree 7 years of functional financial experience in healthcare finance leadership, physician practice management, and/or healthcare operations. 5 years of management experience. Must have an understanding of the role of Third Party Payers, including Government Organizations. Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to work as a key team lead in developing and enforcing accountability strategies required.
