JOB SUMMARY:
The LPN's responsibility includes the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in accordance with established standards of care. Also directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstanced warrant such actions, deal tactfully with personnel, patients, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public. Must be knowledgeable about nursing and medical practice and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to the facility. Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language to effectively communicate with predominantly English-speaking population.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Licensed Practical Nurse with current, unrestricted Pennsylvania License. BLS required.
Minimum one (1) year experience preferred.
