Job Title: Finance Clerk Location: Danville, PA Department: Finance Reporting and Operations - Geisinger Health Plan Work Type: Full Time
JOB SUMMARY: Provides support with a high degree of accuracy to Finance Operations. Monitors and responds to issues in Customer Service Interface (CSI). Assists in the review of bank statements for stale dated checks and account issues while completing other assigned duties in a timely manner. Support the resolution of uncashed checks and escheating unclaimed property. Support the collection of outstanding negative claim balances. Provides accounting support for the Accounting Operations team to aid with our self-funded business.
Works under the supervision of the Manager, Accounting Operations
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of accounting fundamentals, terminology, and language. Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrates computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree in Accounting or Business required. OR High School Diploma or equivalent plus a minimum of 3 years experience in Gen Accounting, Bookkeeping or related field
