CHI Franciscan Rehabilitation Hospital opened the doors of this new 60-bed hospital in May 2018 to serve patients recovering from strokes, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions. The hospital is a joint venture partnership between CHI Franciscan Health and Kindred Healthcare.
The Dietary/Food Service Aide assists with meal selection for the patient population, coordinates activities of the menu process and the kitchen to provide accurate meals per the diet order, and assists with implementation of meal programs.

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred or significant years of experience in field.
Food Handlers permit, preferred.
Basic knowledge of patient diet requirements.
Ability to interact in a positive manner and communicate well with patients, families, co-workers, supervisor, and others.
Accurately completes job responsibilities within the specified time constraints.
Physical and Safety Requirements:
Good general health and stress coping ability. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. Normal walking, standing, sitting, bending, carrying of light items such as trays and dishes, food items and misc. other kitchen equipment. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with all constituents (patients, families, peers, and other healthcare team members) as needed for leadership, assessment, intervention, and professional development.
