The Clinical Manager- Quality Management (QM) oversees and acts as a resource and guide to QM and Patient Relations staff. In conjunction with the Director, responsible for the development, evaluation, implementation, and monitoring of programs and procedures to assess and improve the quality of systems, service and clinical quality, and for the integration of the QM Program into LLUHC clinics and departments. Provides leadership for Peer Review activities, Policy and Procedure Committee, Group Administrators and physician leadership. Performs other duties as needed.
Bachelor's Degree required, with an emphasis in a healthcare related area preferred. Master's Degree preferred. Minimum three years of management experience required. Requires experience analyzing and applying federal/ CMS and state regulations, health plan contractual requirements, and value-based reporting programs in a medical group setting. A working knowledge of an electronic medical record is critical (Epic preferred). Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license preferred; Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification preferred. Other clinical or healthcare education (Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, etc.) will be considered.
Must have a clinical knowledge base. Data management, report development, analytic and performance improvement (PI) skills are required. Requires ability to accurately input data; and proficient computer skills (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) required; graphics knowledge preferred; operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Must communicate positively, effectively, and professionally at all levels of the organization. Strong leadership skills are a key to leading teams, including problem solving, critical thinking, conflict resolution, and consensus-building. Ability to apply process improvement (PI) principles is highly beneficial. Assertiveness and consistency is required to comply with policies and regulatory standards. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills- high proficiency in grammar and able to express thoughts clearly and concisely, attention to detail and works well with others. Ability to exercise good judgement ion sensitive and confidential matters. Must be a self-starter, who perceives a need and takes initiative to accomplish the task. Requires ability to proofread for context and content accuracy. Ability to calculate, manipulate and interpret numbers; analyze, assess and evaluate; explain and teach. Requires adequate visual, hearing, and tactile acuity to proficiently perform essential duties.
