Provides assessment, brief psychotherapy and psycho-education for Community Practice Service Line (CPSL) patients under the clinical supervision of the Lead Integrated Care Psychologist and administrative supervision of the Outpatient Operations Director. Functions as a member of the CPSL treatment team providing input regarding diagnosis and plan of care. Provides information/education about plan of care to the patient, family and involved professionals. Serves as consultant to CPSL team about behavioral health issues and services.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral health concepts and terminology, including working knowledge of DSM
Demonstrated knowledge of individual and group behavior and the relationship among
social, economic, psychological and physiological factors.
Demonstrated knowledge of concepts relating to patient centered care such as motivational interviewing and patient engagement.
Ability to identify and effectively utilize community resources.
Demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
Demonstrated competence in time management and performance as a team member.
Demonstrated personal maturity, flexibility and adaptability.
Demonstrated basic knowledge of psychopharmacologic agents.
Demonstrated knowledge of computer skills including Word and Excel.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Master's Degree in social work, psychology, nursing or other related discipline from an
accredited university with a minimum of 3 years related experience required.
Previous treatment experience with individual, group, or family psychotherapy required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in an office/clinical environment. Some travel required for training and supervision purposes.
