The Hospice Manager is a hospice employee and is responsible for the day to day direction, coordination and general supervision of the Hospice service in collaboration with the Administrator of Clinical Services in the absence of the Manager or Director of Hospice.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
License to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Three years of nursing experience required in community health.
Two years of supervisory experience required in community health.
One year of experience working in hospice preferred.
Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse certification preferred.
Possesses a current Pennsylvania driver’s license and automobile insurance.
Must have access to independent transportation in order to comply with standards of job description.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in written form.
Must be able to enter residence, hospital/clinic facility, physician office or its equivalent independently regardless of physical barriers.
Must be able to complete a visual and auditory assessment of clients.
Must be able to move and position a client as appropriate for the care required.
