Our Team Members Loves Merrill Garden Because: • We are a privately-owned family company with a proud history of success • We are growing quickly providing opportunities for advancement • Our benefits and compensation are some of the best in the industry including medical, dental, vision, FSA, 401(k), life insurance, vacation, sick time, holidays, and an EAP program What You’ll Do: • Promote and enhance our hallmark “Anytime Dining” program, setting an industry standard for excellence in Culinary Services. • Establish, implement and direct a continuous assessment of Culinary Services operations at all Merrill Gardens communities in multiple regions. • Develop and implement Dining Service budget tracking controls, including but not limited to inventory control and full time equivalents. • Establish Dining Service purchasing programs and deferred pricing and rebate programs. • Ensure all communities are in compliance with state and federal health department and licensing regulations, upholding the highest standards for sanitation and food safety. • Assist in design and functional plans for all new kitchens. • Create and maintain, with the coordination of the community, menus suitable for each geographic region and for special populations such as memory care residents. • Assist the General Managers of individual communities in the recruitment, hiring, and training of qualified Executive Chefs. • Support the communities through continued site visits and one on one support working directly with the GM and EC in problem solving. • Local and National travel is required 50-75% of the time.
