Greenville County Department of Public Safety is seeking a Medical Administrator to lead our healthcare team. In this position, you will play a key role in the management of health care staff as well as the healthcare for inmate patients housed at the Greenville County Adult Detention Center & Juvenile Detention Facility.
More specifically, the County is seeking for a responsible licensed care provider who is willing to utilize their uniquely acquired management and nursing skills in the oversight of a diverse employee and patient group. In a secure jail environment, you will manage nurses and administrative staff, oversee patient care, review data collection, establish nursing plans and work under the boundaries of the State Scope of Practice and Guidelines and Physician/Provider(s). Outside service referrals, following established treatment plans, managing contracts, and working with a myriad of Service Providers will be key components of this position. Furthermore, monitoring patient progress as well as working with all Providers will round out a quality health care program performed on-site – one you can be proud to be a part of and lead. Interested applicants should have competence in performing emergency intervention, physical assessment, critical thinking, and management and documentation skills.
Our staff provides comprehensive nursing care in a correctional setting while observing and maintaining the requirements of operational security. Our facility includes a large, central nursing station with administrative offices; three exam rooms; an infirmary, a medical housing area and isolation rooms; as well as pharmacy, lab, x-ray, and dental offices.
