WORK TYPE: Full Time (1.0 FTE) - 80 Hours Bi-Weekly; 40W Overtime
Performs patient assessment, patient/family teaching and triage. Provides primary clinical support to the provider and patient to assist in the diagnosis and
treatment of the patient's condition. Follows up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing in medical record to ensure continuity
and care. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age range on their assigned clinical area.
Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of Geisinger Health System in its efforts to provide quality service and patient satisfaction.
Reports to the Clinic Nurse supervisor or Operations Manager.

PATIENT ASSESSMENT AND CARE-Knowledge of and ability to assess ailments and injuries of patients and implement a treatment plan.
HEALTHCARE KNOWLEDGE-Knowledge of the operating principles, major issues, governmental regulations, and code of ethics for the healthcare industry;
ability to apply this understanding appropriately to healthcare related situations.
PATIENT RIGHTS-Knowledge of principles and practices associated with the rights and responsibilities of patients and caregivers.
PATIENT SAFETY-Knowledge of the risks faced by patients in a healthcare environment, and the ability to take steps to reduce these risks.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS-Demonstrates oral, written, and electronic communication skills.
COMPUTER SKILLS-Demonstrates basic navigation in a windows environment, and passwords and security. Accesses the internet, uses basic browser functionality,
and understands policy on Internet usage. Demonstrates the ability to compose, send and read emails, understands email functionality and conventions related to replying
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Pennsylvania required.
BLS certification required.
Minimum of six months RN experience required.
