Glens Falls Hospital is seeking registered Psychiatric Nurses to work in their new 7 bed Crisis Unit slated to open in June, 2018. As a member of the crisis team, the psychiatric RN will work with individuals, families, groups, and communities, assessing mental health needs, assisting in the development of treatment plans and evaluating response to care. The psychiatric RN will work closely with the attending Psychiatrist, Psychiatric Social Worker and Patient Navigator to ensure that patients receive appropriate treatment and services.

NYS licensure for registered professional nurse
Must participate in NAPPI training within 3 months of hire
Two years psychiatric clinical and/or substance abuse experience highly desired
Knowledge of psychosocial, mental health and substance abuse assessment preferred
Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred: new hires will be required to complete their BSN within 5 years of hire.
